Press Progress Update for Gargoyles Collections

The Gargoyles collections are on press at the printer. And while this has taken longer than expected, we had to review everything thoroughly as there were things caught that needed to be tweaked. These will be on your shelves forever. We expect that next week we will get our first photos from the printer of the books coming off the printing press and being bound and finalized for shipping to our warehouse.
The books are shipping to us in waves. It takes different amounts of time to make paperbacks, hardcovers, and the deluxe editions. We have worked with the printer to have them ship each wave as it finishes in order for us to begin filling pledges immediately upon receipt of the first volumes. The Gargoyles Trade Paperbacks (softcovers) are the first off the press and will be the initial books shipping out to backers. They will be followed by the Gargoyles Oversized Hardcovers and Signed Hardcovers shortly after completion. The last books to be completed will be the Premier editions (due to a longer period of time for the gold gilding around the pages to be applied, cured, and dried properly). We have asked the printer to show us photography of the processes for each edition so we can keep everyone updated on the progress.
In the meantime - we are asking everyone to make sure you have filled out the pledge manager shipping information at this time. We have 438 backers who have not finalize this information at this time. We sent out a reminder email directly - please check your junk or spam folders to make sure it isn't stuck in there. Gargoyles Printing Final Tweaks 8-22-25

We just spoke to the printer and there were a few adjustments that needed to be made so that they can make the final moves for the production of the Gargolyes books and are moving the project onto press next week. It has taken a few weeks longer than anticipated but the last details are signed off on and the printing is beginning. We anticipate the printer will be able to give us a solid date for the first books moving off press, into binding and preparation for shipping to our warehouse next week. We'll map out those details and pass them along so that everyone can follow along with the timeline for delivery to Dynamite's warehouse and the shipping to backers. We are making all the moves we need on the backend also so that we can start shipping out copies as soon as the first delivery of books from the printer arrives.

Gargoyles Update 8-1-25
We just spoke to the printer for an update on the printing of the Gargoyles graphic novels. It's a very complex printing as it has different size books, oversized editions, and high-end deluxe treatments like gilding that make it even more time intensive, and therefore different printing presses, with the higher ends having less presses and less available press time. They are working very hard to get the first books printed and ready to ship out to us as soon as possible and will update us on the ETA next week. It should still ship from them to us this month, but they need to confirm.
It looks like the trade paperbacks will be the first ones off the press and ready to fill. While we would normally fulfill the highest levels first, we want to start shipping immediately, so we will be filling the softcover orders with the immediate first wave upon receipt of the books. The hardcovers will follow right after. The Premier editions will take the longest as they require special paper and the gilding process takes additional time to complete.
We've asked them to make sure we know about any challenges they have so we can keep the backers updated. In the meantime - we have a few pictures of the trade paperback prototypes that were shown at San Diego Comic Con. Here's a look at the actual print prototypes:

Gargoyles Graphic Novels at Pre Press with Printer

Just a quick update here on the Gargoyles printing status. Things are continuing to move forward and the printer has opened the project and is actively working on the pre-press process to start the presses printing the Gargoyles collections. This is a complex printing - with different sizes and materials being used for the some of the editions that are outside what traditional trades and hardcovers use. We're confident these books will be some of the most beautiful editions printed and will look fantastic on your bookshelf.
We are still on track with the projected printing and binding schedule the printer supplied. Shipping is on track to commence in August, and we will keep you advised on the status as the books make their way through printing, binding, and quality control.
Our warehouse team is preparing the behind the scenes work to start the fulfillment process as soon as the books are finished and arrive. We will update everyone as shipping begins and we begin supplying tracking information for each package as it is sent. We will keep you updated on the progress at each stage as we prepare for shipping to commence.
Closer Look at Gargoyles TPB, HC & Signed HC Editions

As has been requested, here is a closer look at the softcover, hardcover, and signed hardcover editions based on our recent photography of the new wooden box and the premier editions. Per your request - here are some images that better illustrate the end products.
As we reported before, we are in touch with the printer, and they are working on pre-production of the books right now. We are still working on the same timeline we reported late last week of 4-6 weeks to start shipping, as we are comfortable that the books will be approved right away from the printer's proof to us. As the books run through the printing and binding process we requested that the printer supply some behind the scenes photography so we can keep everyone in the loop.
